Winter Word Masters Games

The Winter World Masters Games are a prestigious biennial multisport event dedicated to master athletes, serving as a promotional vehicle for sport, tourism, and social relations through an international community of athletes motivated by their passion for sport and competition, committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

Following the summer edition in 2022 in Japan, the 2024 winter edition will see the participation of nine Italian municipalities across Lombardy and Trentino collaborating to promote the project, its values, and Italian excellence. Aprica, Bormio, Chiavenna, Chiesa Valmalenco, Madesimo, Pellizzano, Ponte di Legno, Sondrio, and Pellizzano are the locations involved in this partnership.

Taking place from 12th to 21st January, the event goes beyond sports competition, acting as a platform for cultural exchange and the celebration of various winter sports disciplines. Athletes from around the world, aged between 30 and 90, will come together to showcase their skills and sporting spirit in a context of healthy and friendly competition.

The values at the core of this event highlight not only the abilities of experienced athletes but also emphasise the importance of leading an active life, demonstrating that sport knows no age limits.
