The story of a brand connected to its territory


The history of CMP has deep roots, dating back to 1948, when Maria Disegna, a young widowed mother with five children, embarked on her business venture with determination and courage, selling from a stall at the market in Bassano del Grappa.

In 1954, when her five children joined the company, the Campagnolo siblings founded “Casa della Lana”, giving new impetus to the business and consolidating the wholesale of jumpers and hats. In the following years, the company became a corporation and took an important step towards modernisation, introducing automatic machines and starting industrial production. Specialising in the production of jacquard fabrics, Società F.lli Campagnolo began to establish itself as a leader in the national textile sector.

It was along this path, marked by passion and innovation, that CMP was founded in 2010. With the desire to make technical clothing that is not only affordable, but also a faithful partner for enjoying nature, nowadays CMP sets out to dress and equip outdoor and winter sports enthusiasts on all their adventures. More competent than competitive, CMP is driven by the belief that every moment spent outdoors can become a precious and indelible memory.

The stages of a long journey


1948

In the heart of Bassano del Grappa, during the difficult years following World War II, Maria Disegna faced her challenges with courage and determination. A widowed mother of five, she sold clothing from a stall in the main square market. With her tireless spirit and dedication, she laid the foundations for an adventure that was destined to grow and leave its mark on the Italian textile industry.

1954

Driven by passion and the desire to build a solid future, the family took a decisive step: they opened their first shop, which became a landmark for the local community. Two years later, the business expanded into wholesale, focusing on hats and jumpers, products that symbolised quality and tradition. Alongside retail, Casa della Lana became the beating heart of the family business, a place where craftsmanship and entrepreneurial vision began to intertwine, laying the foundations for a future of growth and innovation.

1973

What began as a small family shop has now become a fully-fledged company. Thanks to hard work and entrepreneurial vision, the business grew rapidly, becoming increasingly structured in terms of production and wholesale. With over 200 employees, the company established itself as a solid presence in the textile sector, maintaining the values of quality, craftsmanship and innovation that had accompanied it from the very beginning.

1991

A product destined to become an icon of the company is developed and introduced into production: fleece. Soft, warm and versatile, this fabric revolutionises the concept of technical clothing, combining comfort and performance. Thanks to its quality and functionality, fleece quickly becomes a distinctive feature of the company's production, further cementing its role in the world of sportswear.

2010

CMP was born from the vision of Fabio Campagnolo, a member of the third generation of the family. Building on a textile heritage spanning over sixty years of history, the brand was created with the aim of making technical clothing accessible to everyone, combining innovation, quality and design. CMP is the natural continuation of a journey steeped in passion and dedication, a brand that carries the values and traditions of the family into the future, accompanying outdoor and sports enthusiasts on all their adventures.

2015

Continuous innovation and the desire to offer a complete outdoor experience have prompted the brand to take a new step forward: the launch of its footwear line. Designed to guarantee comfort, durability and performance, the footwear collection complements the technical clothing range, allowing nature and sports enthusiasts to tackle any adventure with the right support. This marks the beginning of a new challenge, further strengthening the brand's identity in the outdoor world.

2016

CMP Trail is born, an event that goes beyond simple competition and becomes a meeting point for a community united by its passion for running in the wild. Among trails immersed in nature and exciting challenges, CMP Trail celebrates the outdoor spirit, the connection with the territory and the desire to test oneself, transforming every race into an experience to be shared.

2017

The meeting with Marco Olmo marks the union of two worlds united by the same passion: running, nature and challenging oneself. An ultratrail legend and symbol of determination and endurance, Marco Olmo perfectly embodies the values of tenacity, authenticity and love for the outdoors that have always guided CMP. His experience and indomitable spirit make him the ideal ambassador to inspire anyone to exceed their limits, with the knowledge that it is never too late to put yourself to the test. By joining the CMP family, Marco brings with him the story of a life lived over long distances, approaching every race with humility, passion and respect for nature, with a mission to make sport and the outdoors accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience.

2019

CMP extends its collection with a line dedicated to winter equipment, introducing ski helmets and ski goggles to ensure performance and safety on the slopes. At the same time, the brand is launching important collaborations with ski schools, cementing its commitment to the world of winter sports and strengthening its bond with mountain enthusiasts.

Late 2019

Loris Giuriatti joins the CMP family as an ambassador, bringing together the worlds of the outdoors, history, storytelling and the local area. A writer, communicator and mountain expert, Loris shares with CMP a genuine connection with the local area and a passion for nature, seen not only as a place of adventure, but also as a guardian of memory and identity. Through his stories and his commitment, Loris conveys a message that goes beyond hiking: experiencing the outdoors also means understanding and respecting the past in order to build a more conscious future. This approach fits perfectly with the values of CMP, which has always been committed to promoting an authentic relationship between people and the environment.

2020

CMP For a Better Planet: embarking on a fundamental journey towards greater environmental awareness. The brand is launching a long-term commitment to reducing its environmental impact by adopting more sustainable business choices guided by objective data. This process translates into continuous improvement, with the intention of developing projects and decisions that respect the planet, making sustainability a core value for CMP's future.

2022

CMP reinforces its ties with the world of winter sports by becoming the official partner of all Alta Badia ski schools. This collaboration represents an important step in the brand's journey, which has always been committed to making the outdoor experience accessible to everyone, from beginners to the most experienced skiers. CMP supports Alta Badia ski schools with high-quality technical clothing designed to ensure comfort, protection and performance on the slopes. A perfect combination of experience, innovation and passion for the mountains, supporting those who teach and pass on their love of skiing to thousands of enthusiasts every day. With this project, CMP confirms its commitment to the ski world, supporting professionals and ski lovers in one of the most iconic ski areas in the Dolomites.

2023

The range of accessories is broadened with the introduction of a line of eyewear, thus completing a comprehensive catalogue that includes apparel, footwear and accessories. With this new addition, the brand finally provides a total look for every outdoor enthusiast, ensuring everyone has access to high-quality, functional and stylish garments designed to allow them to enjoy every adventure with maximum comfort and performance.
