Plastic Free Summer 2024

Summer is the time of year when many of us seek relaxation and fun, exploring beaches, parks, and other natural wonders. However, it is also a crucial moment to reflect on the impact our behavior has on the environment. In this context, Plastic Pull, a project by Piantando, emerges as an innovative and tangible response to waste pollution, offering all of us an opportunity to actively contribute to the protection of our planet.

The initiative follows a strict standard for the collection and certification of waste, ensuring that each operation is monitored and transparently documented. To date, Plastic Pull has collected over 150,000 kg of waste, organized more than 700 clean-up events, and restored over 300 areas.

As a partner of the project, we actively participated in several clean-up operations, contributing in 2023 to the collection of 1,000 kg of waste through six clean-up events, involving a total of 90 volunteers. Through our involvement, we aim to send a tangible message and inspire other organizations to play a key role in protecting the environment—for a cleaner and more sustainable future.

This summer, Piantando has launched the #PlasticFreeSummer initiative to raise awareness about the environmental impact of our actions. As a partner, we have enthusiastically joined this campaign, committing to support the project in collecting 3,000 kg of waste from beaches, parks, and other natural environments. We firmly believe in the power of collective and continuous effort to make a difference.
